Prairie Basic offers speech-language services for teens and adults, supporting communication, participation, and quality of life across the lifespan. Services are provided using a client-centred, neurodiversity-affirming approach and are tailored to individual goals and strengths.
Areas of Support Include:
Aphasia (language changes following stroke or brain injury)
Motor Speech Disorders, including:
Apraxia of Speech
Dysarthria
Cognitive-Communication Disorders (attention, memory, problem-solving, and communication)
Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) for teens and adults
Accent Modification (communication clarity and confidence)
Social Communication Support for Teens and Adults on the Autism Spectrum, with a focus on self-advocacy, connection, and authentic communication — not masking or compliance
