Speech Language Pathologist

I am a Registered Speech-Language Pathologist with the Saskatchewan Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (SASLPA). I obtained both my Bachelor of Science and Master of Science from Minot State University in Minot, North Dakota.

I have a strong passion for working with children and I want to work towards creating strong starts for ALL children. I have a love for the natural elements in life and this shines through in my work. I believe in a natural holistic approach to working with children and believe in the philosophy that it takes a village to raise a child. A large part of my practice includes working closely alongside parents and caregivers to help their child succeed.

I have the best job in the world as I specialize in play and teaching children through play. I also have extensive experience providing workshops and training for early childhood educators.

Speech Language Pathologist

Hi! My name is Devon and Iʼm a Speech-Language Pathologist with the Saskatchewan Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (SASLPA) and hold my Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA). I obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Dakota and my Master of Arts degree from the University of South Dakota.

I absolutely love working with children - they delight and inspire me every day! A child does their best with supportive and empathetic caregivers - as such, a large part of my practice includes empowering and supporting the people in a childʼs life to help them reach their communicative goals. Rooted in evidence-based practice, play, and a holistic approach to therapy, I tailor my sessions to each individual and what works best for them and their families.

I have experience working with preschool and school age children with social, emotional, and communicative challenges, as well as with adults with various speech and language concerns.

I’m looking forward to partnering with you to help you and/or your child succeed.

Speech-Language Pathologist

I am a Registered Speech-Language Pathologist with the College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists of Saskatchewan (CSASK). I obtained both my Bachelor of Arts (Linguistics/Psychology) and my Master of Health Sciences (Speech Language Pathology) from the University of Ottawa, a stone’s throw from where I grew up.

My professional career spans 25 years working with preschool and school aged children in various settings including public schools, home care, public health and private practice in both Ontario and Saskatchewan.

I enjoy helping children reach their speech and language goals through a collaborative and play-based approach.  I strive to find creative ways to keep children actively engaged and empowered as they gain their new skills.

I am fluently bilingual and able to support families in both English and French.  I have a particular interest in the area of speech sound disorders including Childhood Apraxia of Speech.

I am excited to have joined the amazing team at Prairie Basic and I look forward to working with you.

Speech Language Pathologist

I am a registered speech language pathologist with the Saskatchewan Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (SASLPA). I obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Linguistics at the University of Toronto, and received my Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Alberta.

I have worked for over 15 years in the school setting, and have begun to work in private practice over the past five years. Communication is built on connection, and it is my privilege and joy to connect with kids as they learn to communicate more effectively. One of my most powerful strategies is come alongside clients and caregivers to highlight and celebrate the tiny victories and milestones that are met on our way to accomplishing larger goals. It is important to me that clients of any age can bring their unique personality to their practice sessions, because the most effective learning is done when we are engaged as authentically as possible.

I have worked with preschoolers and school-aged children to build speech, language, and social communication skills. I am trained in Orofacial Myology, which focuses on the resting posture of the tongue, lips, and jaw to facilitate improved speech and swallowing patterns. Adult voice, articulation, and accent modification services are also available.

Rebecca Venn

Speech Language Pathologist Assistant

I am a level 3 Early Childhood Educator. I obtained my certificate at SIAST and then added a few classes to obtain my level 3 from the Ministry of Education. I have worked as an Early Interventionist in North Battleford for 4 years. Then, I decided to move home to Moose Jaw and run my own daycare. After 10 years I decided to take a year off to work on my Prairie Horticulture certificate. During that year I worked at a daycare centre in town and a local greenhouse which I was fortune to do school tours.  Most of my career I have worked with children aged 1 to 5 years. I have lately been fortunate to expand my career working with older children.

I have always wanted to work with children growing up, but I think my true passion for helping children came from my sister. I struggled throughout school, and I was lucky to have a huge advocate in my life. She supported and navigated to help me get diagnosed with a learning disability and ADHD in my first year of university. This has driven me to want to support each individual in their growth and encourage each child I have worked with to do anything. Because knowing that I had these special talents I was able to get support and understand who I was as a person and be able to try anything.

Robyn Price

RD CBS

Pediatric Dietitian

I’m a Pediatric Registered Dietitian with the Saskatchewan Dietitians Association (SDA) and a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist, currently on a path to become an IBCLC. I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree majoring in physiology and pharmacology and Bachelor of Science in Nutrition, both from the University of Saskatchewan. I completed my dietetic practicum in Regina and Moose Jaw, building connections and experiences in pediatrics and lactation.

Since 2019, I have been helping babies and their parents overcome struggles with feeding - be it latch, allergies, growth and so much more. My practice focuses on empowering parents to feed their babies the way that they want to. By using a baby-led and responsive approach, I work with you to nurture your intuition and foster the relationship between you and your baby so you feel confident with feeding.

To ensure the support I provide is the most up-to-date evidence, my continued learning is focused on tongue ties, infant allergies and intolerances, and optimal gut development for lifelong health.

I work with parents of infants right from birth to 3 years of age with feeding challenges, whether that is breast and/or bottle (and anything in it!) through to solids. Feeding your baby doesn’t have to be so hard!
